In the Cups
In The Cups is a new exhibit by local artist Robb Quisling. It is an old saying meaning drunk or engrossed in alcohol. This show is the culmination of years of collaboration with another local artist, Jonathan Thunder, exploring the complex narrative of society's entanglement with alcohol. Quisling will talk about his artistic journey and the inspirations behind his latest works. There will also be live jazz performed by The Hot Club of Duluth. Cheese and crackers will be served.

Members of the public are invited to bring an antique or collectible to the Duluth Depot's rotunda for a free appraisal. Denny Mager of Northern Specialty will offer opinions on the value of submitted antiques. People may bring up to two items for an informal oral identification and evaluation of each antique. Friends of the Lakewalk seeks volunteers to help clean-up Duluth’s Lakewalk. Meet at the Lester Park Picnic Pavilion adjacent to Lester River Road and East Superior Street. Focus on the fundamental building blocks of storytelling at the Duluth Folk School. Look at genre and literary fiction to find your voice within. After examining examples, you will have a variety of prompts to craft your own personal narrative.
