The 26th annual Homegrown Music Festival runs April 28 to May 5, featuring about 160 bands at 35 venues in Duluth and Superior. Weeklong admission wristbands are $40. Annie Kiel will lead a Duluth Yoga Level 2 class. This is an all-levels class for those who feel comfortable with beginning yoga and are interested in advancing their practice. All proceeds benefit PAVSA in honor of sexual assault awareness month.

Writer Katie Perttunen teaches writing within six weeks at Foundations of Flash Fiction. Perttunen has published two books, written for three newspapers and was the poetry editor for an online literary magazine. This class is best for ages 12 and older and is for both experienced and beginner writers. Participants will need to bring paper, writing implements and the book "Elements of Style".
