Chasing Dragonflies
Join Tettegouche State Park Naturalist Kurt Mead for a short talk about dragonflies and then a day in the field, chasing and identifying these charismatic microfauna. There will be a carpool up towards Isabella, Minnesota to visit a variety of habitats to see what’s flying. Nets will be available from the park. Come prepared to walk in wet environments. First Day Hike
First Day Hikes take place at 12 Minnesota state parks on Jan. 1 as part of a nationwide effort to connect people with the outdoors. The specifics vary among the participating state parks. At Tettegouche State Park, hikers will join the park naturalist for a hike into Tettegouche Camp. Wild Things Artist Reception
Tettegouche State Park Visitors Center hosts an artist reception for Marissa Saurer's exhibition, "Wild Things." Saurer’s artwork is inspired by her travels to the northernmost countries of the world and her Sámi heritage. The exhibition will remain on display through September.
