The Commemorative Air Force and Bong Airport third-annual open house includes World War II-era aircraft, classic cars, opportunities to take a flight, learn about aviation and history, or dance to the Blue Water Big Band. Sound Inc. will be at the Lake Superior Squadron Hangar for Rock the Ramp, an evening of good-time rock-and-roll music from the 1960s and '70s. Attendees can dance or just listen while enjoying food and/or drink. The event is free but a donation at the door will help further the Lake Superior Squadron's mission to educate, honor and inspire.

Check out the planes, take a flight, dance to the Blue Water Big Band, learn about flight history and checkout the gathering of classic cars at the fourth annual Bong Airport Open House. Food will also be available with breakfast served by the EAA and lunch served by the CAF. All funds raised during this event will for the airport nonprofit groups.

The inaugural Commemorative Air Force Indoor Garage Sale seeks to raise funds for restoring our World War II aircraft. Items for sale include military surplus, CAF swag, craft and quilt supplies, clothing, children’s items and more. Food and drink will also be available. Drop off donations are also welcome and can be brought in Saturdays before the sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information on donations, item pickup and vendor interest, call (715) 919-3212.
