The Be MinneSNOWta NICE! campaign is set for its official kick off. The mission is to work alongside the community and ensure year-round accessibility of all the Duluth sidewalks. There will be light refreshments and giveaway items such as shovels, knit hats, stickers, buttons, yard signs and of course booklets! There will be a pledge document available for individuals to sign, a selfie station and a large banner for signatures of those taking the pledge.

Representatives of Duluth Public Schools are holding meetings at all of the district's schools to help inform the public about an upcoming ballot referendum. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about the technology levy. On Tuesday, May 14, residents in Independent School District #709 will vote on a capital projects levy which, if approved, will provide $5.2 million annually to support upgraded classroom technology and curricula, digital infrastructure, and cyber and physical security throughout Duluth Public Schools.
