North of Nashville Songwriters Showcase
In an event being billed as "Nashville in the Northland," songwriters will showcase their work in an intimate concert. Guests will enjoy songs and backstories. Singers will include Buffy Lawson, Heidi Pack, Shane Nelson, Bo Allen and more. Submissions for a songwriting contest are being accepted through Jan. 21. A grand prize will be awarded. Life House Celebration of Success 2022
Honor the successes of local youths at Life House’s annual graduation-like celebration and fundraiser. It’s an evening of music by Superior Siren, upscale graduation party food and acknowledging youth who have accomplished standout achievements in the face of adversity. Duluth Fire Department Pinning Ceremony
The Duluth Fire Department will honor staff and civilians at a pinning ceremony for the first time since 2019 during this event in the Horizon Room of the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. The ceremony honors staff members who have finished their probationary period, have received promotions, or have joined the Life Safety Division. Letters of commendation celebrating employees as well as two citizens for their valor will also be awarded at the event.

Support local children facing life-threatening illnesses at the Northern Lights Foundation's Children's Charity Gala. Guests will enjoy a meal, a brief program and opportunities to support the Northern Lights Foundation in a silent and live auction. Vinyl Happy Hour

DECC Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner and Program
The DECC Hall of Fame Dinner and Program is held at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center’s Harbor Side Ballroom. The five inductees are Norm DeBriyn, Pat Francisco, Kara Goucher, Scott Keenan and Karen Stromme. Criteria for selection includes having a connection with northeastern Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin, or the Michigan Upper Peninsula and having gained local, national or international prominence through participation or affiliation in sports. Touchstone Awards 2024
The 30th annual Touchstone Awards honor visionary nonprofits and strategic partnerships that are having a meaningful, long-term affect on the community.
