As a young man, John L. Peyton canoed and snowshoed through the forests between Lake Superior and Hudson Bay. After college, he returned to depict, in drawings, paintings and words, the landscapes, wildlife and people of the area. Peyton’s grandson-in-law, Doug Cameron, and his wife, Kris, have maintained Peyton’s private collection. Cameron will discuss his insight into Peyton’s life and art.

Thomas Peacock: Meet and Greet
Peacock is a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Anishinaabe Ojibwe, and he and his wife Elizabeth Albert Peacock are co-owners of Black Bears and Blueberries Publishing, specializing in children's books written by Native authors and using Native illustrators. At this event, attendees can meet with Peacock and delve into the popular catalog of titles he has produced.
