Community Storytime: A Common Thirst
Spirit of the Lake Community School invites children and families to hear a reading of A Common Thirst by local author Gary Boelhower, local artist and illustrator Sara Brokke and local designer James Monroe. Students will create their own holiday cards in an artists' studio and operating letterpress shop. The project will start with students sketching their own designs before transferring their designs to linoleum blocks and carving the designs into relief images by hand.
