Learn how the Association of Zoos and Aquariums are helping with ring-tailed lemur conservation and meet a zookeeper to watch the lemur troop feed. Duluth Parks and Recreation offers this class for learning or practicing archery. Participants will learn the basic safety, technique and process for shooting archery and get a chance to test their skills in archery games and challenges. This is an introductory class for families and community members. Participants should wear closed-toe shoes. All equipment is provided. No personal archery equipment is allowed. The city of Duluth is developing an Athletic Venues Reinvestment Initiative action plan to guide more than $30 million of investments in park-based athletic venues that drive regional sports tourism. Three public informational open-house events are planned for community members to learn more about the plan and provide input, preferences and priorities about the project. Participants may come and go as they please in these open house events, staying for as little or as much time as they’d like.
