Children and their families are invited to this free event. Get your bicycles tuned up, check the fit of helmets, receive rider-safety information, view demonstrations and win prizes. There will be a fun course for kids to bike through. Free helmets donated by Safe Kids/Essentia Health. Bring a food donation and receive an extra ticket for the drawing to win a bicycle. Congdon Park Elementary School will join schools from around the country to celebrate National Bike to School Day. The event will begin at 7 a.m. with kids, parents and community leaders biking and walking from their homes to school. Congdon Park Elementary School hosts a bike rodeo for kids and their parents. Attendees can bring their bikes, scooters and helmets to the event. The bike rodeo features a bicycle obstacle course, maintenance clinics, safety information, a Duluth DEVO Mountain Biking demo course, a raffle, free helmets, food trucks, and more. A bike fleet is available for those who do not have their bicycle. Bring a food donation and receive an extra ticket for the raffle to win a bike.
