This is an opportunity for community members to learn about the basic equipment and casting skills involved in fly fishing. This class will focus on teaching participants the basics and the how-to of identification of plants and fungi. It is a beginner-level course for those who may be too nervous to try wild plants and mushrooms or for someone who needs guidance in identification. The focus will be on wild edible plants, but foraging can also include searching for fibers, weaving materials and other craft supplies. The class will meet at Chambers Grove at the pavilion. Paddle the Pads is back. This is a paddle-only fly fishing tournament. This event is an opportunity to get out on the water, fish with friends and win prizes from the Superior Fly Angler.
