Youth Art: Contour to Creature with Liz Vandersteen

This two-part Duluth Art Institute class is designed for students ages 8-15. It starts with a lesson in contour drawing and ends with making a wire sculpture of a creature of the student’s choice. Continuous, free-flowing lines will serve as the foundation for both a drawing project and finished sculpture piece.

Partial and full scholarships are available on a first-come first-served basis. Email Emma at espooner @ duluthartinstitute.org to inquire about registering with a scholarship.

The two sessions are held on Saturdays, Oct. 1 and Oct. 8, from noon to 2 p.m. The cost is $40 for Duluth Art Institute members and $50 for non-members. Register online at duluthartinstitute.org.

Proof of vaccination is required to participate in this class. On the first day of class students must present their vaccine card or a copy of it and a form of identification. Masks will be required.
