Winter Solstice Celebration

Spirit of the Lake Community School honors the darkest season and the light that lives within us with its annual Winter Solstice Celebration, featuring community fellowship, a bonfire, dancing, singing, music by Terrence Smith, a reading of The Shortest Day by Susan Cooper, ornament making and more.

Attendees are invited to bring their favorite style of potatoes for a potato potluck. Roasted, fried, baked, mashed, potato pancakes, sweet potato pie … the options are endless.
