Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kick-off/Open House

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. It is the world’s largest fundraiser to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Twin Ports walk starts at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center on Sept. 7. There are two kick-off events — March 29 at Vintage Italian Pizza in Superior and March 30 at the Alzheimer’s Association Office in Hermantown — for sharing information about how to get involved with the walk.
Join us at the Team Captain Kickoff Party/Open House in Hermantown to learn how you can get involved with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Twin Ports! There are lots of ways to use your interests and skills to advance the cause and have fun doing it.
The March 30 event at the Alzheimer’s Association Office includes a dinner catered and donated by Texas Roadhouse.
Stations will be available to help with:
– Registration
– Getting set up on the Walk to End ALZ app
– Setting up Facebook fundraisers
– Literature with information and education supplies
– Local fundraising supplies (Forget Me Nots, etc.)
– A station and photo booth to help “write down and showcase Your Why”
