Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kick-off Open House

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. It is the world’s largest fundraiser to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Twin Ports walk starts at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center on Sept. 7. There are two kick-off events — March 29 at Vintage Italian Pizza in Superior and March 30 at the Alzheimer’s Association Office in Hermantown — for sharing information about how to get involved with the walk and learn more about the local support offered to caregivers and those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia by the Alzheimer’s Association.
The March 29 event at Vintage Italian Pizza is in Joe’s Pizza Room. Pizza and salad will be provided. A cash bar will be available.
Stations will be available to help with:
– Registration
– Getting set up on the Walk to End ALZ app
– Setting up Facebook fundraisers
– Literature with information and education supplies
– Local fundraising supplies (Forget Me Nots, etc.)
– A station and photo booth to help “write down and showcase Your Why”
