UW-Superior Music Department Faculty Recital: Brett Jones and Stas Venglevski

The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will present Brett Jones, percussion and Stas Venglevski, accordion as part of its Faculty Recital series.
This duo recital will perform adapted works composed by Venglevski for accordion and marimba. Jones’s original composition for accordion and vibraphone will be performed.
They will premiere two new works by UWS alumnus Ian Deterling. One piece is entitled ‘Chuqi,’ and it is based on scenes from a Chilean mining community.
Jones and Venglevski will also perform “Hale Bop Comet,” by the Estonian composer, Urmas Sisask.
