Twin Ports Interfaith Fundraiser for Palestine
Event Navigation
The Twin Ports interfaith community hosts a fundraiser to support humanitarian efforts in Palestine in response to the Gaza crisis. “Witnessing over 1.9 million Palestinians displaced and 24,000 casualties, the [Twin Ports interfaith community] calls upon [local] residents for urgent support. [Their] coalition across Muslim, Jewish, and Christian faiths invites you to this pivotal gathering.”
The evening, starting at 4:30 p.m., features an educational gallery on the conflict from 5-6 p.m. and a dinner with Palestinian cuisine.
The highlight is a presentation by Mariam El-Khatib, a Palestinian-American and community leader, beginning at 6:15 p.m. El-Khatib brings a wealth of experience from her involvement with American Muslims for Palestine and LaunchGood.
Proceeds aid the Palestinian Red Crescent. Dinner tickets can be secured for $55 at bit.ly/interfaith-twin-ports. Limited seats are available. Alternatively, attendees can join for the presentation at 6 p.m. Donations are encouraged at the event and online for those unable to attend.
Organizers include the Islamic Center of Twin Ports, local anti-Zionist Jewish members, and various Christian churches. Ensuring inclusivity, the venue is wheelchair accessible, offers vegetarian options, and limited childcare.
