Mary Erickson, a fiber artist with a focus on the landscape, history and people of the MN Iron Ranges will present a program on the Finnish tradition of himmeli and how they are created. She is fascinated by how ethnic traditions carried by immigrants become blended into the American culture.
A business meeting for the Lakehead Chapter of the Finnish American Historical Society will be held at 5 p.m. with refreshments following.
