The History and Basics of Rosemaling

The Twin Ports Rosemaling Society is a non-profit organization whose members are passionate about preserving and promoting the beautiful folk-art tradition of rosemaling, a traditional Norwegian folk art that means “rose painting.”

This featured presentation provides information about the history of rosemaling and examples of some of the many styles of this art form. There will also provide a demonstration of the basic techniques of rosemaling.
