The Audacity to Be Asian in Rural America: Opening Receptions

The Harold P. Erickson Library at LSC and the Kathryn A. Martin Library at UMD cohost an exhibition by Chinese-American artist Nancy XiáoRong Valentine. This exhibition will take place December 1-17, 2021 and features a series of 12 watercolor and Chinese ink scroll paintings on rice paper that visually tells the story of the Hao family’s Chinese-American immigrant experience in rural Western Minnesota.
Opening receptions for this co-hosted exhibition will take place on Wednesday, December 1st:
– Harold P. Erickson Library (Lake Superior College) – 12:00 p.m.
– Kathryn A. Martin Library (University of Minnesota-Duluth) – 7:00 p.m.
