John “Sonofmel” Adler said he “weaves far-ranging travels into storied songs.” The tunes from his 2017 record, “Springtime in a Foreign City,” range from “somber to bouncy” and are heavy with percussive acoustic guitar, subtle ethereal soundscapes, and “a singing and speaking voice that can sound a lot like Johnny Cash.” He performs a set at Earth Rider Brewery.
