On Wednesday evenings, the Lofty Gondola at Lutsen Mountains transforms into a listening room showcasing the Midwest’s top songwriters. This week’s featured artist is Nicholas David.
Known as “the Feelin,” David is a soulful artist whose music blends the rich traditions of American R&B, New Orleans rock ‘n’ roll, country-driven gospel and church soul. Drawing comparisons to iconic figures like Dr. John, Marvin Gaye, Bob Dylan and Prince, he stands out as a modern interpreter of these genres, reshaping their essence for contemporary audiences. Gaining widespread recognition as a contestant on The Voice in 2012, where he finished third, David captivated audiences with his powerful performances and heartfelt expressions of faith and family.
In an effort to create a listening room environment, guests in the main room are asked to limit conversation during the performance.
