Social Media & Its Impacts Presentation

The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Dr. Lydia Thering and Ms. Joan Hedrick Lecture Series kicks the season off with Max Stossel presenting “Social Media & Its Impacts.” Free and open to the community, Stossel will illustrate some of the specific ways technology is designed to be addictive and distracting, highlight how that’s impacting our minds and give recommendations on how to address some of the challenges we may be facing.

Stossel is an artist named by Forbes as one of the best storytellers of the year, and the Youth & Education Advisor for the Center for Humane Technology, an organization of former tech insiders dedicated to realigning technology with humanity.
