Simply Ballroom Open House

Simply Ballroom is holding an open house at its new Lincoln Park location, across the street from Duluth Folk School. The event runs Nov. 11-13.

Friday Schedule
5 to 7 p.m. – Art Showing
7 to 8 p.m. – Mini group dance classes
8 to 9 p.m. – Dance Party

Saturday Schedule
5 to 7 p.m. – Art Showing
7 to 8 p.m. – Mini group dance classes
8 to 9 p.m. – Dance Party

Sunday Schedule
2:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Art Showing
3:30 to 4 p.m. – Mini group dance class
4 to 5 p.m. – Tea Dance Party

Simply Ballroom will host local artists once a month in hopes of building an enriching space that promotes the local arts. Be it expression on the dance floor or on the wall, both art forms will have a space to display. Simply Ballroom’s first debuting collection “Gestured Motion” is by studio owner and local artist David Scherer.

There will also be group dance classes featuring salsa, Argentine tango, nightclub two-step and swing. No experience or partner necessary.

Occasional dance parties will provide additional opportunity to practice moves and explore other dances. Instructors will be available to help guide participants and play dance music. Just like the classes, no experience or partner are required. Parties are $10 for newcomers and $15 for those who have previously attended.
