Shiway and Sadie Barry Memorial Dedication Ceremony

In April 2022, the lives of the Barry family were tragically taken by gun violence. Chester Park was a beloved destination for the Barry family, especially for Shiway and Sadie. Loved ones of the Barry family, in cooperation with City staff, have come together to coordinate a memorial project at the Chester Park playground and invites the public to a memorial dedication ceremony.

The ceremony is an opportunity for community members to come together, remember and celebrate the lives of Shiway and Sadie Barry. It will also be a time to check out recent playground improvements completed in their honor.
