Renee Van Nett Lectureship

Essentia Health is proud to host the second annual Renee Van Nett Lectureship.
Van Nett was the first Native American woman elected to Duluth’s city council and the first Native American to serve in the role of council president. In 2022,she passed away following a battle with cancer. This hour long lectureship is set to honor her legacy through education in cultural competency for health care providers and communities — Dr. Anton Treuer will be the keynote speaker of the event.
