Public Meeting Regarding Raleigh Street Reconstruction Project

The city of Duluth hosts this public meeting regarding the upcoming Raleigh Street reconstruction project to show the current project design options and gather the public’s feedback.
The reconstruction of the street will occur between Grand Avenue and 59th Avenue West.
The design and engineering of the project will take place in 2022, with construction scheduled for 2023. Funding for the project will come from municipal state aid for streets and water utility funds.
The scope of work for the project includes:
- Full reconstruction of the street, sidewalks and utilities from Grand Avenue to 59th Avenue West
- Replacement and installation of a new water main
- Replacement and installation of new storm water infrastructure
- Americans with Disabilities Act compliance improvements
- Multimodal improvements for cyclists and other light-weight human and electric powered devices
The meeting will begin with a brief discussion of the comments received at the previous public information meeting and of the proposed design options by city staff. Participants will then have an opportunity to share their input about the design options in an open house format.
This meeting is the second of three that will be held. The date of the third meeting is forthcoming.
