Presentation on Native Bees
Event Navigation
Claire Lande will be discussing native bees of the region and an unusual natural phenomenon observed for over 100 years, the mortality of bumble bees beneath linden trees. Claire Lande is an entomologist and operates a small farm located outside Duluth, MN, where she grows native perennials for pollinators alongside food for humans. Prior to farming, Claire spent several years studying pollinators in both MN and OR, including many studies in agricultural settings and one deep dive into the bumblebee metabolome.
The presentation will take place in the Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) Room 135 at the University of Minnesota – Duluth. Free parking is available in Maroon Lot V2 off of Maplewood Court Drive.
