Power Your Writing Poetry & Fiction Workshop
An event every week that begins at 7:15 pm on Monday, repeating until Mar 27, 2023
Event Navigation
This hands-on writing workshop will explore different “engines” that power a piece of writing and strengthen the voice of a poem or the voice of a character. Participants will read examples in literature, do guided exercises, and use techniques in poetry or prose to deepen and expand the voice and powerfully connect with readers.
In a relaxed atmosphere, participants will do fun exercises that will help develop their own material either in fiction or poetry, with a focus on image, voice, setting, and character.
Participants will have an opportunity to share their work and get feedback. For interested participants, Sheila will also provide individualized feedback on a writing sample of 10 pages or less.
This workshop will be presented virtually from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. on Monday evenings in March. Sessions will also be recorded and made available to registrants for 30 days following the event.
Registration deadline is 6 p.m. Sunday, March 5.
