Pop-Up Mental Wellness with SHIFT

“Unlike physical health, mental health can be hard to talk about and undetectable by ourselves, peers, and colleagues.” The world has walk-in clinics and fitness centers for physical health. This is a dedicated space for mental health and wellness for those facing daily challenges to ease their mind in a mobile, accessible environment, and find out if therapy is right for them.
The SHIFT vehicle has a “clubhouse vibe” and is for those that are thinking of talking with a therapist, going through a major life change, or just feeling a bit down. Slots can be booked to see if therapy is right for you. Visitors can cork through what’s on their mind in a 1-on-1, 30-45 minute session with a therapist specialized in methods to help with anxiety, stress, sadness, or life transitions.
Attendees can learn tools and techniques for managing emotional stress and uneasiness.
The need is now and growing. In 2021, the number of people reporting symptoms of anxiety or depression nearly quadrupled compared to the year prior, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 2020, there was a 27 percent increase in calls to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration National Helpline compared to the number of calls in 2019.
