Parkinson’s Good Start Program

The Good Start Program, offered by American Parkinson Disease Association Minnesota in partnership with Essentia Health, is a two-week educational series people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and their loved ones. Sessions are Oct. 12 and 19. Topics covered include:
• What Parkinson’s disease is
• Treatment options for Parkinson’s disease
• The healthcare team for Parkinson’s disease management
• The role of rehabilitation and exercise in Parkinson’s disease management
• Medication management for optimum functioning
• Positive coping strategies in living with Parkinson’s disease
• Supportive community resources
