The inaugural North by North International Film Festival champions community-based independent filmmaking from the Midwest. It runs April 27 to May 1 with screenings of “culturally-relevant, artistic new releases that buck Hollywood’s trends and hype.”
Wednesday Schedule
3 to 5 p.m. – NxN Pitch Competition in Zeitgeist Teatro
5:30 p.m. – NxN Opening Ceremony in Zeitgeist Atrium
6 p.m. – “Beyond Space” Shorts Block in Zinema 1
6:30 p.m. – “Creative Therapy” Shorts Block in Zinema 2
8 p.m. – Opening Night Film Bad Axe in Zinema 1
The inaugural NxN Pitch Competition, open to filmmakers from across the North American Midwest, will grant six filmmakers financial support for their next film production. Participants will present their concepts or works in progress to a panel of judges composed of filmmakers and industry professionals.
