The North Shore Scenic Railroad is holding conductor classes starting Feb. 10. Classes are free and designed for beginners who want to be part of the railroad’s volunteer train crews. Attending classes Feb. 10, 11, 24 and 25, and March 16 and 17, starts participants on the path toward becoming a fully certified conductor.
No prior experience in railroading or transportation is necessary to volunteer as a crew member. The seminars are held at the Radisson Hotel. Parking is free for students in the Radisson lot. Lunch will be provided each day. Class hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
