New Exhibit and New Curator Celebration at the Railroad Museum
Event Navigation
The Lake Superior Railroad Museum is celebrating not only a new exhibit but a new curator. This is an informal event for people to come see and celebrate the new additions to the museum with employees on duty to answer questions.
The Lake Superior Railroad Museum is proud to announce that Corrie Hackbarth has been promoted to the important position of curator. Ms. Hackbarth has been with the museum for many years serving as an archivist/librarian. As a curator, Hackbarth will be in charge of the displays within the museum and will
focus on enhancing the visitor’s experience with exhibits and displays that interpret the history of railroading.
The new exhibit being celebrated deals with trackside electric signs and how they make railroading safer. Fully operational, these trackside signals change colors to deliver different messages to passing traincrews. The fully interactive display was made possible by a grant from the BNSF Railway Foundation.
