Bandolier Bags: Identity and Artistry Meets Function
Bandolier bags have been made by Anishinaabe people for centuries. The bags served a functional purpose as well as expressing family and clan connections. The bandolier bag has evolved over the years in its usage and meaning. Today the bandolier bag is used as a gift of honor, as a symbol of veteran service, or as an item of ceremonial dress.
