Celebrate the 155th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad in 1869. The Lake Superior Railroad Museum will be hosting special events to celebrate this annual holiday.
Activities include:
Leonard Draper Maintenance Shop open for tours
Railroad speeder rides
Engine cab tours
Visiting locomotives on display
Kids crafts
Steam engine #332 fired up for testing
Tables and booths from various area attractions and other railroad organizations
Special concession stand snacks
Train movies in the Zelda Theater
Train Rides
Railroad Swap Meet will also be taking place in the Great Hall. Tables are available for the swap meet for people interested in selling any railroad items. Tables are $10 each with all funds going to the Lake Superior Transportation Club. If you are interested in reserving a table or two for the swap meet, please email [email protected].
