In conjunction with Minnesota Public Radio, the WKLK/WMOZ Radio program “International Polka Party” celebrates National Polka Day with this lively, polka-centric event.

The Singing Slovenes, a group committed to fostering fellowship through music and cultural education, will perform. While rooted in Slovenian traditions, their music includes tunes from Croatia, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Poland, France, Norway, Finland and Sweden. Host Dwight Cadwell will be present at the event to discuss the rich history and cultural significance of polka.

Attendees should bring lawn chairs.
