Metropolis with Live Soundtrack by Christian McShane

Using a combination of analog and digital instruments, Christian McShane will compose and perform a free improvisational live soundtrack to Fritz Lang’s 1927 silent film Metropolis, which entered the public domain on Jan. 1.

Donations will be accepted at the door.

McShane is best known for his work in Duluth with Charlie Parr in Devil’s Flying Machine and Aaron Molina in If Thousands. He is also a member of the 1970s cover band Songbridge, and performs solo shows with original music and covers by the likes of Violent Femmes, Misfits and Black Sabbath.
