Mental Health Action Concert 2023: Social Animals and Ingeborg von Agassiz

Apr 7, 2023, 7:00 pm | $24 – $30 | NorShor Theatre

Event Navigation

Let’s Talk MN presents its fourth Annual Mental Health Action Concert featuring Social Animals and Ingeborg von Agassiz.

This special night of music is meant to raise awareness for children’s mental health and wellness and draw attention to action items anyone can do to help improve mental health services in the region. The concert will highlight the Let’s Talk MN campaign devoted to raising awareness for mental health crisis resources. Representatives from organizations providing mental health services to adults and children will staff a resource fair between 6 and 7 p.m.

Social Animals are an American alternative rock band formed in Cloquet in 2012. The band, currently based between Minneapolis and Nashville, will return to its Duluth stomping grounds, taking the NorShor stage for the first time. The band’s latest self-titled project was released in June. Joel Alexander from Rock n’ Load Reviews calls Social Animals “an elegant expression of chaotic emotion with haunting melodies and introspective lyrics.”

Ingeborg Von Agassiz is a musician and visual artist based in Duluth. Her music has been described as the “collision of innocence with innocence lost,” and has been compared to Bob Dylan in her ability to create emotion through intonation.

Tickets are available at ovationtix.com. All ticket purchases include an event T-shirt available for pickup the night of the event.
