March into Mentoring Campaign Launch

Mentor North is holding a public press conference to launch its 2024 “March into Mentoring” campaign. Speakers will include Mentor North representatives and key community partners. During March, Mentor North is asking community members to nominate caring adults who could spend four hours per month, mentoring a Twin Ports youth for at least one year. Mentoring offers adults the opportunity to connect with others, enjoy new activities, learn alongside other mentors, and actively contribute to a more inclusive, equitable community. Currently, 56 Duluth and Superior enrolled youth (ages 7-17) are waiting for their perfect mentor match. Twenty-five of these young people identify as female; 31 identify as male; 30 are youth of color. Mentor North’s 2023 survey results showed that 100% of youth matched with a mentor wanted to continue their match.
