Lincoln Park Art Walk

Main Street Lincoln Park launches the Lincoln Park Art Walk with this kickoff event. The walk is a way to experience public art in Lincoln Park. Using on-site information plates and QR codes for more in-depth stories and maps of mural locations, people can guide themselves through the free street gallery while learning about the artists involved and how each mural came to be.

The Lincoln Park Art Walk offers stories about 13 murals, with more to come. Professional photos were taken of all but one that had been painted over and the stories were written with approval from the artists and building owners involved in the projects. Many volunteered to share photos they had taken as well for the project, adding additional visual information about the wide variety of creation and installation processes used.

Using Minnesota Main Street Project Assistance Fund dollars through Rethos, the initial art recorded for the Lincoln Park Art Walk was limited to murals that were in existence as of late in the fall of 2021. Further funding via the same source will allow additional murals and public art to be added to the walk this year as well as printed information for those who do not have the ability to utilize QR-code technology. The Lincoln Park Art Walk will also be able to be accessed from the Ecolibrium3 website upon the program kick-off.
