Junction Avenue and Saint Marie Street Reconditioning Project Meeting

The city of Duluth invites residents and stakeholders to a public meeting to discuss the upcoming reconditioning project for Junction Avenue and Saint Marie Street. The meeting will provide an overview of the project’s goals, design elements, timeline, and construction impacts. There will be a brief presentation beginning at 5:30 pm by the design team to discuss the project and the design, however, community members are invited to attend at any time during the meeting that is convenient for them. City staff and the design team will be available to discuss the project and gather feedback throughout the meeting.

Key improvements include:
– mill and overlay of the roadway
– replacement of damaged sidewalks and curbs
– increased sidewalk widths on key pedestrian routes
– upgraded intersection curb ramps for ADA compliance
– construction of bump outs for safer pedestrian crossings
– reconstruction of road segments with sub-grade failures
