Jolabokaflod: The Holiday Book Flood

Sat, Dec 21, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm | Free | St. Louis County Depot

Event Navigation

Jolabokaflod is an Icelandic word, meaning holiday book flood, and tradition that originated during World War II. Paper was one of the few unrationed commodities during the war, making books one of the few gifts available during the winter holidays. The Duluth Public Library celebrates this tradition with quiet reading, games, crafts and puzzles.

Michelle’s Lefse truck and the Underwood Coffee cart will be serving food and beverages.
