Lisa McKhann instructs this mindfulness meditation practice, held in person and over Zoom. In four one-hour weekly sessions, participants learn the basics of “insight meditation,” the act of stilling the mind with compassion and awareness, based in Theravada Buddhism. Each class will include a brief talk, guided meditation and time for questions.
McKhann is finishing a two-year training with meditation teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. She is certified as a 200-level soma yoga instructor.
The four weekly classes build practices, but can also serve for drop-ins. The suggested donation begins at $5 per class; $20 for four classes.
