Homegrown Hempen Ale Release Party with Preston Gunderson

Fitger’s Barrel Room is hosting the annual release party for their famous Homegrown Hempen Ale once again on Friday, April 21, 2023.

This American Amber was mashed, boiled, and then dry hopped with organic hemp seeds to give a nutty flavor and aroma. A little hoppier than most ambers, the rich malty backbone is balanced by a dank grouping of American hop varieties with an ABV of 6.0%.

Live music will be by the very talented Preston Gunderson. Preston is a singer-songwriter based out of Minneapolis, MN. With his powerful voice and catchy melodies, Preston has toured nationally and overseas, opening for acts such as Brandie Carlile, The Guess Who, Paper Route, Jeremy Messersmith, Trampled by Turtles, Dan Rodriguez, Nicholas David, Bobby Long, Live, Sister Hazel, Jamestown Story, Halfnoise, Nick Howard, and Everclear. Preston also tours with Minneapolis band Rhythmic Circus.

There is a $5 cash cover charge at the door. The party starts at 7 p.m. in Fitger’s Barrel Room. Opening toast will be at 7:30 p.m. and the concert will start at 8.

The Barrel Room is a locally-owned whiskey bar on the second floor of the Fitger’s complex that offers a full-service bar with craft cocktails, wine, smoked whiskey, craft beer and fresh appetizers from Fitger’s Brewhouse across the hall. The back room is available for both public and private events with a seating area and a stage where performances like this take place.
