UW-Superior’s Music Department is presenting Heroes, Myths and Legends featuring the Symphonic Band and Chorale.
The Symphonic Band will perform the pieces Mystery on Mena Mountain, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and Frank Ticheli’s rendition of Amazing Grace. The chorale will perform a variety of pieces from different parts of the world, such as the exciting Serbian dance, a traditional Irish song, an African-American spiritual arrangement by Moses Hogan and a piece written in Ojibwemowin by the Canadian composer Andrew Balfour.
The concert will conclude as the band and choir join forces to perform two famous works by John Williams. This concert will also recognize and congratulate graduating seniors.
