Gunflint Scramble 2024

The second annual Gunflint Scramble is a competitive mountain-biking event on the Gunflint Trail. The 20-mile course takes racers on a system of mowed ski trails, snowmobile trails and forest roads, as well as a section of single-track trails.
The race is hosted by Bearskin Lodge & Outfitters. Riders are encouraged to explore the challenging terrain of the Central Gunflint Ski Trail System and surrounding area.
The Central Gunflint Ski Trail System features more than 70 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails and is best known for its world-class trail system and superior grooming that attracts visitors from around the region. The trail network is located on U.S. Forest Service land and is managed by Bearskin Lodge & Outfitters and Golden Eagle Lodge and Outfitters. In 2019, Bearskin saw the potential of the ski trails for summer use and worked with the US Forest Service to allow mountain biking on the trails.
