The Friday night showcase at the Gopher Hole is conveniently located inside the Gopher Bar & Grill in West Duluth. Food is available until 9 p.m. with cold drinks served all night until the bar closes.
Headliner James Stanley is a paid regular at Acme Comedy Company and has opened for names such as Sean Patton, Stavros Halkias, Dusty Slay, and Josh Johnson. James has also been featured in the yearly write up for 2021 Comics to Watch MN and was a semi finalist in the ‘Funniest Person in MN Contest’ in 2018.
Max Chapman began his stand-up comedy career in Minneapolis in 2019. His style combines one-liners and painfully honest stories from his life, both of which are darkly humorous. Max is a resident emcee at Acme Comedy Co. and has worked with some of the top acts in the country. He’s opened for acts like Pete Lee, Ian Bagg, and Josh Johnson. Max was a finalist in Sisyphus Brewing’s Funniest Person in Minneapolis Contest. He produces his own monthly comedy shows at Terminal Bar and Indeed Brewing in Northeast Minneapolis.
Also featured will be Michael Collins with hosting by Dustin Fawcett.
