Alison Aune will lead participants in creating decorative Swedish floral folk paintings, also known as kurbits painting or Dalmålning. The kurbit was believed to be a fantastical gourd plant commonly used in folk paintings in Dalarna Sweden, as a symbol of good luck.
Participants will create their own creative interpretative paintings as they revive the tradition using a contemporary color palette. This two session class takes place on Saturday May. 18 and Saturday May. 25 with all supplies included. Sign-up for this series at zeffy.com.
