Finding Your VIEW: How to leverage points of view

“Finding your VIEW: How to leverage points of view” is a course that will examine first, second, and third-person points of view as well as omniscient. Through reading examples of each, the group will gain a better understanding of what works, what doesn’t, and why. Through imagery and writing prompts, participants will have an opportunity to tell the same story from a variety of viewpoints.
Students should ready to write, share, and leave with a fresh take on how we interpret the world around us.
Registration Includes:
• 1 hour instruction and discussion around narrative view points and how to craft them
• 1 hour of writing to a prompt that includes editing time with peers
• Follow up line edits up to 1,000 words of prose with editorial letter
Student Requirements:
Skill Level/Prerequisite Skills: This class is for anyone
Best for Ages: 18 and older
Students should bring: A laptop or notebook (depending on the preference for writing)
